(West Palm Beach, FL) – Over 1,000 Thanksgiving holiday meals will be served, free of charge, during this year's 25th anniversary of the City of West Palm Beach Share-a-Supper dinner.
Community volunteers, city employees, the mayor and city commissioners all pitch in to brighten the holiday for residents who would not otherwise have a real Thanksgiving meal.
The event, produced in partnership with the Lincoln Culinary Institute, is advertised in the area neighborhoods and flyers are sent home with the children from the city’s recreation center to publicize the free dinner.
Over 1,000 people are expected to be served. Any leftover food is donated to local church groups.
With the help of many, “Share A Supper” comes together for a successful event. The City of WPB has several community partners involved such as: Publix, Restaurant Depot, Palm Beach County Food Bank, Coca-Cola, Rachels, Lincoln Culinary Institute and Pleasant City Recreation Center. They all are supporting the 2016 Share-A-Supper event.
