New WPB teen curfew begins Friday

THIS WEEKEND TEENS NEED AN ADULT AN HOUR EARLIER

(West Palm Beach, FL) – If you’re under eighteen years of age and planning to be in downtown West Palm Beach this weekend, you now need to find a parent or guardian an hour earlier.

This weekend is the start of a trial period during which the curfew on Friday and Saturday nights will be moved from 11:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The change brings the weekend curfew in line with the existing Monday through Thursday curfew, creating a uniform 10:00 p.m. time seven days a week.

The curfew applies to anyone under the age of eighteen. There are some exceptions, including minors who are with parents, guardians or another adult authorized by a parent or guardian, and minors who are working or heading to work.

The pilot period begins this weekend and runs for the next three months.
