Expect bridge delays this Friday

Possible Extended Bridge Openings on Friday, June 17

Motorists may experience extended bridge openings on the existing Flagler Memorial Bridge, Friday, June 17 between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. while workers switch to new electrical power lines recently installed for the replacement bridge.

This work may cause the existing Flagler Memorial Bridge spans to open and close slower than usual, resulting in extended bridge openings.

The Flagler Memorial Bridge will continue to open once per hour at 15 minutes past the hour except for 8:15 a.m. and 4:15 p.m.

Please note that the bridge opens “on demand” as required by the U.S. Coast Guard for emergencies and tug boats under tow.
