Climb aboard a trip through time at the Historical Society of Palm Beach County in downtown West Palm Beach.

After releasing his new book, Normandie: the tragic story of the most majestic ocean liner, last January, Rene Silvin is proud to present the inaugural presentation about this ship at the Historical Society of Palm Beach County on Wednesday April 13.

In his inimitable way, just like his successful presentations about the Duchess of Windsor and Addison Mizner, Rene will bring the Normandie to life.

The audience will feel like they are being brought aboard the most magnificent ocean liner built in the 1930s by the French Line. Rene will tell the story of her conception, development, glamorous years of crossing the Atlantic between France and the USA, leading up to her tragic end after only 4 years in service.

As you board, we would love to welcome you for Champagne starting at 6:30 PM. The lecture starts at 7 PM, and around 8, during light refreshments and wine, Rene will be available to sign books.

The event is Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at 7:00 pm, in the 3rd Floor Courtroom inside the historic 1916 Palm Beach County Courthouse, 300 North Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach.

Free parking is available directly across the street from the 1916 Courthouse. Parking lot entry is at the southeast corner of 4th street and Dixie Highway across from the WPB Fire Rescue Station. Parking lot will be available at 6:00 pm on the night of the lecture.

Admission:
